Is the Fiat 500 still a car?

The Fiat 500 is not a car anymore. It is an icon of the European automotive industry, the car that helped Italy to grow more than six decades ago. The original design was re-mastered and, just like a black&white classic movie when it is colorized, the 500 was reinvented and brought back to the main automotive scene in 2007.

When did Fiat 500 become a city car?

Later, this model became the base for the 500. The Italian manufacturer wanted to create a small and efficient car, ideal for traffic and the tiny, narrow, Italian roads. Hence, the concept of the “city car” was born. And in 1957, the Fiat 500 emerged. It was the first small car that maximized interior space.

When did the Fiat 500 come out?

In 1936, Fiat released the front engine Fiat 500 "Topolino" economy car. In 1949 to meet the demands of the post-war market, production resumed as the 500C with revised front and rear bodywork.
